Cyteal is a foaming solution with a low antiseptic effect which is used to wash certain areas of the skin that are infected or are at risk of infection.

Product description       

CYTEAL contain hexamidine diisethionate chlorhexidine digluconate and chlorocresol in a foaming solution.

1.      Hexamidine help cleanse the skin or prevent odor by inhibiting the growth of or destroying microorganisms, such bacteria, fungi and yeast.

2.      Chlorhexidine digluconate is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent belonging to the biguanide family. It destabilizes the outer bacterial membrane.

3.      Chlorocresol is a potant chlorinated phenolic disinfectant, antiseptic, has a bactericidal effect against bacteria and an antifungal effect.

Indications

    It is used for cleaning lesions of the skin and mucous membranes, infected or at risk of infections.

Instructions for use

    Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.

    This product is used as a liquid soap: pure, or diluted to 1/10, followed by abundant rinsing.

    Do not store the diluted solution.

    Only dermal use. Do not inject, do not swallow.          

Warning

DO NOT use this product:

1.      If you are allergic to the active substances or to any of the ingredients of this medicine.

2.      In the ear canal in case of eardrum perforation or in the eyes.

3.      For disinfection of medico-surgical equipment.

4.      On a large area of the skin, on damaged skin (especially burnt), premature or infant skin.

Precautions:

1.      Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or might use any other medicines.

2.      DO NOT use at the same time as ordinary soap.

3.      The association with other antiseptics should be avoid because their effects may cancel each other out.

4.      If you are pregnant or breast-feeding ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.

Storage Conditions

1.      Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.

2.      Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the bottle.

3.      The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

4.      It should be stored at room temperature below 25°C away from daylight.

Ingredients

Active ingredients: 100 ml solution contains:

1.      Hexamidine diisethionate 0.10 g

2.      Chlorhexidine digluconate (20% w/v solution ) 0.50 ml

3.      Chlorocresol 0.3 g

The other ingredients are: Cocamidopropylbetaine, Cocounut fatty acid diethanolamide, Edetic acid, Coniferol fragrance, Lactic acid, Purified water.
